About me

Hi! My name is Jared Cheung.I am born in January, 2000 in Melbourne, Australia.

I begun studying piano and music at 3 1/2 yrs old and music becomes my passion ever since. Cello is my main instrument; I started learning cello at 4 1/2 years old. My current teacher is Georg Pedersen, currently Senior Lecturer at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Sydney University. My second instrument is piano and I was taught by Professor Marcela Fiorillo until I moved from Canberra to Sydney. I also learnt harp from Alice Giles, an international acclaimed harpist, performer and educator.

I am currently playing a John Wu Master series cello, masterfully adjusted and set up by Michael McMahon at Violin Atelje.
